Heng Long Tanks - Gearboxes     
A Step By Step Visual Guide  Can 
be used to replace worn gearboxes with nylon gears with a replacement   or 
to upgrade to a pair of metal heavy duties gearboxes. Click here for more information

1. Unscrew gearboxes (left 
& right) from lower hull. |    
2. Remove motors from gearboxes. |    
3. Check that new (metal) gearboxes are greased and can move freely. |   
    
4. Fit motors into new 
gearboxes.  |    
5. Fix new gearboxes with 
motors into lower hull.  |    
Hints: Use a screw driver 
with a magnetic head (or bluetack) to hold screw in place when fixing gearboxes 
to lower hull. |    If 
you are upgrading to metal heavy duty gearboxes, we recommend that you also upgrade 
the plastic sprockets to metal sprockets at the same time. Upgrade to metal heavy 
duty gearboxes and metal sprockets is recommended if you intend to run metal tracks 
on your tank.  Note 
that no soldering is required! All you need is a set of screw drivers.
